One Semester Down

The semester is finally over and we all survived moms attempt at going back to school. Hopefully next semester will be as successful as this last one. I am very grateful for the opportunity to go back to school. I know that if it where not for Bert this would not have happened he has pushed me and encouraged me the whole way. Yeah it's over now I can think more about Christmas!

Our First Snow

We had our first snow yesterday and the girls where so excited. The weather so far has mainly consisted of rain and freezing rain and never forget the wind. The snow lasted about 3 hours and then it was gone. There was not enough to do anything with is but it still snowed none the less. We drug out the snow suits all be them to small but kids don't care. I have failed to buy new ones this year because I was told they usually only get 4 days of snow and that is usually gone within hours just as yesterday. We could not find Kennedy's hat so we wrapped a scarf around her head turns out that was really a big hit because Sadie cried that she did not have one. It never fails that no matter what it is the other one wants it. I hope your weather is just as fun as ours.

Holiday Traditions

We are spending our first Christmas with out any family. I am trying to decide what types of things that we will do. I am looking for any Christmas traditions that you have that you would like to share with me. We are excited to start some new traditions but know that the company of loved ones will be missed over the Christmas Season.

Kennedy's Birthday

We celebrated Kennedy's Birthday during the week of Thanksgiving so that her cousins on Adreann's side could be there. Also we had to wait for Bert to get home. We had a princess cake and then decorated princess purses and a sword for Zane. We also had a scavenger hut with amazing dollar store prizes at the end. I think the thing she loved the most was just being with her cousins. Sorry this is coming so late it seems that life has been a little out of my control. Everyone seems to be taking turns being sick and then finishing my last class of the semester has been a work out.
The kids had the opportunity at the annual CE squadron Christmas party to visit with Santa. They also won prizes playing bingo and won a cake at the cake walk and made Christmas ornaments to add to the tree at home. We all had a lot of fun and appreciate all the hard work that when into making such a special event for the kids.

Are they really Christmas Presents?

You all know what I am talking about. Those things (gifts) you buy three months before Christmas because Christmas is just too far away or (the BYU football season is starting). Well here is our Merry Christmas to us. I just laugh that when you wake up Christmas morning and there is nothing there it always takes a minute to remind yourself that your present was delivered a little early.

Thanksgiving

We had such a great Thanksgiving this year. My parents and Maxi and her cute family where able to visit us here is Oklahoma. The weather was cold but we managed to have a really great time. We even squeezed in some Black Friday shopping in the metropolis of Lawton an hour away. It was so refreshing and such a lift to me to have my family with me. With having been gone and being so far away from the ones I love it was just what I needed. It was just good to talk and be around family. It was a reminder to me of what are the most important things in my life.
